🌿 Locs & Lore Policies & Terms About Me Hi, I’m Jo — the stylist behind Locs & Lore. I’m a licensed cosmetologist and natural hair specialist with 4+ years of experience nurturing locs, braids, and natural textures. I built my business on the belief that beauty is rooted in growth — both inside and out. My journey began as a mother learning to care for my family’s hair when times were tough. What started as a necessity turned into a passion, a career, and now, a growing community. At Locs & Lore, every appointment is about more than just hair — it’s about self-care, confidence, and connection. I strive to create a safe, friendly, and uplifting environment where my clients feel respected, relaxed, and valued — while maintaining clear boundaries that honor both our time and professionalism. *Booking & Appointments All appointments are booked online through my GlossGenius booking site. A non-refundable deposit is required to secure every appointment. Deposits go toward your final balance. Please arrive on time to ensure your full service can be completed. If you are more than 15 minutes late, a $20 late fee will automatically apply. After 25 minutes, your appointment may need to be rescheduled and the deposit forfeited. *Cancellation Policy I value your time and ask that you value mine in return. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments canceled with less than 24-hour notice will forfeit the deposit. No-shows or same-day cancellations will be charged 50% of the service price before rebooking is allowed. Repeated cancellations or no-shows may result in refusal of future services. *Rescheduling You may reschedule once using your same deposit if it’s done at least 24 hours before your appointment. If rescheduling happens more than once, a new deposit will be required. *Payments The remaining balance after deposit is due at the end of your appointment. Accepted forms of payment: Cash, Cash App, Apple Pay, and Zelle. All payments are final — no refunds are issued once a service is completed. *Guest & Child Policy To ensure a peaceful and focused experience for every client: No extra guests unless being serviced. Please notify about childcare before your appointment time. This allows me to give you my full attention and keeps the salon space calm and professional. *Hair Prep Please arrive with your hair clean, dry, and free of heavy oils or products, unless a wash is included in your service. If your hair requires detangling, there may be a $15 detangling fee. *Service Satisfaction I aim for every client to leave feeling confident and cared for. If you have concerns with your service, please reach out within 48 hours so we can discuss adjustments if appropriate. Adjustments are handled at the stylist’s discretion — refunds are not provided for completed services. *Professional Boundaries Locs & Lore is a safe and respectful environment. Any disrespectful behavior, harassment, or disregard for policies will result in immediate termination of the service and refusal of future bookings. I maintain open, friendly communication — but also uphold clear professional boundaries for your comfort and mine. *Privacy Your personal information and photos are kept confidential. Photos or videos taken during services may be used for marketing only with your consent. *Terms of Use By booking an appointment with Locs & Lore, you agree to these terms and conditions.
